I started with Meagan in November 2021 and and I continue to see her on a monthly basis.
When I first started in her office, it was because I received bad news from my primary care physician. My triglycerides, cholesterol and glucose levels were sky high, and my A1c was over 7.0. He wanted to put me on a statin as well as a diabetic medication and I decided I was going to try to change my lifestyle and diet to avoid taking those medications
My first step was to find a nutritionist who would be able to help me get healthier and reverse my terrible blood work .
When we first met, she gave me a ton of nutritional and diet information as well as recipes and products to find in my supermarket to help me in my journey to lose weight and get more active. She also gave me exercise tips and routines because until then I was not active at all.
She was upbeat and encouraging and always available for any questions. When I started I was 208 pounds and I now have been holding my weight at 185. I feel better and I now exercise at least 4-6 times a week .
In one year I went from doing nothing to finding the time to exercise and keep myself motivated.
One year later when I did new blood work, My cholesterol and triglycerides were below normal and my A1c dropped to 5.9. my physician said I didn’t need to take any medicine at all!
Having my monthly visits with her keeps me motivated and encouraged to keep up with my changed lifestyle. I could not have done all of this and gotten these results without the help of Meagan. I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking to improve their health and lifestyle, both mentally and physically.
