I didn’t realize it at the time, but my dad shaped my healthy relationship with food and movement from a very young age. As I grew older, my passion for nutrition deepened when I experienced firsthand how powerfully it influenced my performance as an athlete. One elective course—Introduction to Nutrition—during my freshman year of college changed everything. That was the moment my journey to becoming a Registered Dietitian began.
I earned my degree in Human Nutrition, Foods, and Exercise from Virginia Tech and completed my dietetic internship at Montclair State University. For several years, I served as the Nutrition Coordinator at a high-volume bariatric and medical weight loss practice, where I counseled clients with conditions such as obesity, diabetes, hypertension, high cholesterol, and post-bariatric needs.
With more than 15 years of experience, I’ve learned that restrictive diet mentalities are often unrealistic and rarely sustainable. At Healthy Fit Life, I take a different approach: one that focuses on building a positive, lasting relationship with food while creating realistic lifestyle changes that fit your real life.
I believe understanding how food impacts your metabolic health is essential—because when your metabolism thrives, your entire body functions better. Together, we’ll create a personalized plan tailored to your lifestyle, schedule, preferences, and goals. We’ll take a holistic approach that includes building muscle through strength training, increasing daily movement, optimizing sleep, and developing sustainable habits that support long-term health and confidence.
