Easy, Delicious Oven Baked Pork Chop

A boneless pork loin chop is one of the leanest cuts of pork. Based on a 3-ounce cooked serving, the chop provides around 160 calories and 7 grams of fat. Try out the recipe below! Don’t eat pork? Use boneless chicken breasts instead!

Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients:

  • 4 boneless pork chops, fat trimmed

  • Kosher salt

  • 1 large egg, beaten

  • 1 cup 100% whole wheat bread crumbs

  • 2 tablespoons grated parmesan

  • 1 teaspoon sweet paprika

  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • 1/4 teaspoon chili powder

  • Pinch of black pepper

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Spray baking sheet with lightly with oil or cover with non-stick aluminum foil. Sprinkle small amount of kosher salt on both sides of pork chops

  • Combine bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and black pepper in large shallow bowl

  • Place beaten egg in another shallow bowl

  • Dip each pork chop into egg and then crumb mixture

  • Place on prepared baking sheet and repeat with the remaining chops

  • Bake for about 20 minutes or until internal temperature of 145 degrees

  • Allow chops to rest for 3-5 minutes
