Easy, Delicious Oven Baked Pork Chop
A boneless pork loin chop is one of the leanest cuts of pork. Based on a 3-ounce cooked serving, the chop provides around 160 calories and 7 grams of fat. Try out the recipe below! Don’t eat pork? Use boneless chicken breasts instead!
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients:
4 boneless pork chops, fat trimmed
Kosher salt
1 large egg, beaten
1 cup 100% whole wheat bread crumbs
2 tablespoons grated parmesan
1 teaspoon sweet paprika
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1/4 teaspoon chili powder
Pinch of black pepper
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Spray baking sheet with lightly with oil or cover with non-stick aluminum foil. Sprinkle small amount of kosher salt on both sides of pork chops
Combine bread crumbs, parmesan cheese, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, chili powder, and black pepper in large shallow bowl
Place beaten egg in another shallow bowl
Dip each pork chop into egg and then crumb mixture
Place on prepared baking sheet and repeat with the remaining chops
Bake for about 20 minutes or until internal temperature of 145 degrees
Allow chops to rest for 3-5 minutes
